About Sardinia

When you speak about Sardinia, you usually think at the sun, at the sea, at the beaches.

This charming island entered in the "Rock Climbing Word" some years ago and is now one of the most desired places by the Europen climbers. So thanks in particular to Maurizio Oviglia ( who endeavoured describing and promoting new areas in all the island ) you can climb surrounded by a sevage and inviolate nature who makes  the landscape one of the most suggestive in the Mediterranean.

The Gulf of Orosei is surely the most known climbing area in Sardinia.

Both the experienced and the beginning climbers have a big choice. 

We can surely recall the numerous climbing areas near Dorgali, the ones near Siniscola and finally we can't forgive the last one equipped area called "Afghanistan" on the Tuttavista Mountain which is near Irgoli.

Climate

During the summer and during the winter climbing is possible too, but you must pay attention to the crags' exposure  to the sun and/or to the wind.

Not crowded during the "off season" (that is the best period for climbing), you'll have peace and the nearness to the most important resorts of the Gulf of Orosei.
